Music aficionados consider jazz an evolved musical form. Complex, yet delightful extended chords take us far away from our tonal center, then finally return us home, back to our root key. The journey feels like a kind of magic, yet we haven’t really gone anywhere. That which changes not remains real, all else is part of the great illusion, a trick of the mind. Maya deceives until you finally see her as the Delilah you want to believe with all your being.
